Ainslee Cox describes his first meeting with Stokowski when he was organizing the American Symphony Orchestra and encouraging young conductors to participate; he mentions Stewart Warkow, Jean Leslie, Werner Bass, Jose Serebrier, Joe Eger, Matthias Bamert, Judith Somogyi and Stokowski's workshops for conductors. He also describes Stokowski's trip to Prague to conduct the Czech Philharmonic, discusses the rehearsals and program (Bach transcriptions, Elgar, and Scriabin) and mentions Edward Johnson, Joyce Bright, Tony D'Amato, and recordings for Decca. He discusses his visit to Stokowski at Nether Wallop with Edward Johnson and Greg Benko who played an RCA recording of a 1923 Philadelphia Orchestra work; Natalie Bender's work for Stokowski; Stokowski conducting Klemperer's A Merry Waltz.
